Tricia Biangini has been the head of our dance department since the opening season of Summer Arts in 2011.
At our very first Noontime Show, Tricia’s Zumba class had only two children enrolled. To promote the class, she invited members of the audience to come and join her on stage. More then half the camp joined her and danced (see picture). Since then it’s been a tradition to close our opening Noontime Show with Zumba!
Tricia’s career as a professional dancer and instructor has spanned more than 30 years. She is trained in jazz, tap, musical theatre and modern dance. She has performed as a dancer in New York City, Boston and the Caribbean, including performances at Radio City Music Hall with Stevie Wonder and with the band Kiss.
Tricia has taught at Boston Arts Academy, Concord Academy and Plymouth State University and has also been an instructor in multiple dance programs including Aileycamp Boston. She is a certified fitness instructor in Zumba, Pilates and Barre, with a love and passion for yoga and meditation.
At Summer Arts, Tricia choreographs the musical and teaches Afro-Haitian Dance, Dance Company and yoga. She is a wonderful dance instructor and her classes are fun, energetic and challenging. The dance concert concludes our Arts Festival each session, and is always impressive. This will be Tricia’s seventh summer with us along with her children Mariposa and Soleil, and we feel very fortunate to have her positive energy, talent and enthusiasm with us!
